Leather in and of itself is not on published allergen lists, but so many of the chemicals that go into its processing are, including preservatives (leather is, after all, an organic material that needs preservation in order to last), dyes, and metals like cobalt and (as in blue jeans) mordants that help colors bind to the material. And this isn’t even considering additional allergens used in many products made of leather, such as metal buckles, adhesives for binding it to other materials, and rubber in shoes. While completely untreated leather may not be an allergen — it still being on the animal or just removed — it would also be unusable as leather, being unable to stay preserved, or to be shaped or sewn.
If you have patch tested positive to substances commonly used in clothing, limiting yourself to as-raw-as-possible leather could be an option. Otherwise, there are more and more leather alternatives that have leather’s durability, look, and feel, that could be great options.
If you have a history of sensitive skin, don’t guess: random trial and error can cause more damage. Ask your dermatologist about a patch test.

Regularly published reports on the most common allergens by the North American Contact Dermatitis Group and European Surveillance System on Contact Allergies (based on over 28,000 patch test results, combined), plus other studies. Remember, we are all individuals — just because an ingredient is not on the most common allergen lists does not mean you cannot be sensitive to it, or that it will not become an allergen. These references, being based on so many patch test results, are a good basis but it is always best to get a patch test yourself.
